10 Lemon Recipes To Brighten Your Day!
We are having a wonderfully warm day here in Alabama. The sun is shining, spring flowers are in bloom, and as soon as I finish up this post we’ll be taking a little walk outside to get some fresh air. But for many folks, winter is having it’s last hoorah. If you’re in one of those areas and really need a bit of sunshine today, or find yourself celebrating sunshine like we are in Alabama, these recipes are sure to perk you right up!
Let me know what the weather is like where you are in the comments below – and be sure and tell us which recipes you end up making!
Before we dive into desserts, I want to start with this wonderfully bright and flavorful low carb chicken dish!
This icebox cake is a breeze to throw together and so many folks have fun memories of their mother making this recipe.
I’m a cookie person, I admit it. These are sunshiney favorites!
Today is the perfect afternoon for a glass of homemade lemonade on the porch at my house!
Reckon how many friendships were cemented over lemonade in those very circumstances?

My daughter came up with this recipe and on this post I tell how she helped me be a little more carefree. 🙂
Lemon Meringue Pie (with cookie crumb crust)
This recipe is old as the hills and still just as good as it ever was.

Have a blessed day today and remember, just because the weather won’t give you sunshine doesn’t mean you can’t have it in your heart!
Oh my! Our high temperature today was 8° and we spent the morning shoveling around 8 -10″ of snow. But give me lemon anything and it puts a smile on my face ….Love the Simple Lemon Syllabub. So smooth and creamy….yummy in our tummy! ♥
Oh goodness, you try to stay warm Mary!! Just reading that it was 8 degrees chilled me to the bone!
Have had a beautiful day here in North Carolina today! It’s been a refreshing break from the gray rainy days we’ve had. Was actually able to open up a few windows to day and let some fresh air in and enjoy a walk outside.
We here in OKC have had the weirdest weather the past couple of days. At noon yesterday, it was in the 70s. By 3, it was in the upper 30s. By 8pm, it had climbed back up into the 40s, and continued climbing through the night, back into the 60s by 7 am. By 10 am, we had “thunder sleet”, and now at 2:45, we have flakes of light snow. This is wild, even by Oklahoma standards!
Oh, and I LOVE your lemon chess pie!!
WOW that weather sounds more hormonal than Alabama’s weather! We both need a little bit of chess pie, I’m thinking ;). Thank you, Roz!
Yes! The weather here in Oklahoma is crazy, they have a saying here, that if you don’t like the weather, just wait because it will change without warning. I live in southern Oklahoma and it was so muggy and sticky this morning that I used my air conditioner when I drove to work. I had to use my heater when I went home at lunch. The temperature has continued to drop all day. I looked a minute ago and it is in the 30’s but feels like 26, because it is a cold windy RAIN! It felt like springtime this past weekend. I even took one of the blankets off my bed. OH well, I have been reading the other comments and it seems we all can have a bit a whiplash when it comes to the weather lately. It makes me grateful I have a nice roof over my head. Something lemony sounds just lovely to brighten all our days. I’m about to go check out the lemon icebox cake link!
I am grateful for that roof right along with you Jayson, it has been some crazy weather but I am soaking in every bit of this little warm spell I can!!
Its 70 degrees here in SW Pennsylvania! Record breaking warm and feels like summer outside. Just on Saturday last it was 32 and snowing so we are all happy and trying to take in this little reprieve from winter. I know it will snow one more time in March. Always does, but boy o boy does it feel good outside today!
AMEN!
It is 74 in North GA. Not sunny though. Looks like it could rain.
It was sunny when I started on this post but decidedly cloudy when I finished. Maybe that was the Lord telling me to make Lemon Bars 😉
it is yet another overcast gloomy day here on the east side of Atlanta. But on Saturday to combat the gloomies, we made our own sunshine and made your Lemon Blossoms. They were very good and my daughters and I delivered some to my mom and sister!
I LOVE IT! 🙂 We hope to be over in that area soon for a visit and for good once we retire 🙂
Thank you, going to make tne lemon bars! Loved the video!
Thank you for watching, Laila! Have a great afternoon!
