DEAR CRISTY,
I LOVE MEXICAN FOOD AND MAKE IT OFTEN. I DON’T HEAR MUCH GRUMBLING
ABOUT ST. PATRICK DAY DOINGS FROM ANYONE. I HAVE MANY FRIENDS FROM ALL DIFFERENT RACES. WE GET TOGETHER FOR DIFFERENT OCCASIONS BECAUSE WE LOVE EACH OTHER.
IT IS GREAT TO LEARN ABOUT OTHER CULTURES.
I WAS BORN AND RAISED IN SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA BUT MY FAMILIES ROOTS ARE IN THE SOUTH. I WAS RAISED ON SOUTHERN COOKING AND THAT IS MY MAIN COOKING INTEREST. I ALSO LOVE MANY OTHER FOODS AS WELL.
Please pay no attention to the “I Am Offended By ____________People”. They are always offended and most of the time have misread or never read what they are offended by! I can ALWAYS use Mexican recipes (and I will be celebrating Cinco de Mayo). I also celebrated ST. Patrick”s Day(I am not Irish) and any other holiday I can think of! I do Fat Tuesday and I am not Catholic (you get the idea, Ha! Ha!). A little more celebrate and love and a lot less offense and the world would be a much nicer place.
sherry, i am right in there with you! I’m a festive kind of girl, life is too short to not enjoy it. gotta blossom where you’re planted.
I like the way you think Sherry!!!
Thank you, Christy! You have inspired me yet again. Our family is 100% German and yet we celebrate Cinco every year. It is a family celebration with yummy dishes to share. And I don’t mind a bit if some non German families choose to celebrate family times with kraut, brats and German potato salad! Blessings!
🙂 I hope you enjoy the recipes!!!
