A Little Chat Video

A little chat video for those who have been following me on Facebook :). I mentioned I had big news coming and I talk about the press release for that, the current issue of Taste of the South with my feature, upcoming things on Southern Plate, my next book, my episode of Paula Deen and more.
Gratefully,

  1. Love the chat! Definitely tearing up in Guntersville…and so happy to be sharing the northern portion of the state with you! Thank you so much!

  2. You are such an inspiration to others. Thanks for the uplifting chat. Excited to hear your news and thrilled is DOESN’T involve a reality show, : }

    Yes, indeed, we are rich. Having friends such as you only makes us richer.

  3. ahhh, you bursted my bubble… you mean the Kardashians is not Normal? 😉
    I hate the reality shows as they are sooo fake. I am so anxious to hear what your BIG NEWS is. It is only time before you will make an announcement that you have your own TV show. I am waiting! Good luck in whatever you are about to undertake, I know you will do well.

    1. hehe, Sara, I really appreciate your faith in me! I’m afraid you have much more faith in me than I do!
      I do enjoy doing tv, which came as quite a shock to me to find that out! Maybe one of these days but I’m not worried or waiting on it. I know things like that can end up not being good for families and so I trust and have faith that if an opportunity doesn’t come to me in that form, I will be grateful that I was protected from it. If it does come to me, I will spend some serious knee time making sure it is the right thing to do !

  4. Thanks for the pep talk and updates! I know I truly am thankful for people like you in this world. Moving away from my small town in KY to 20 miles outside of D.C., I feel like the biggest difference between the 2 are peoples attitudes. Its like no one smiles around here. You encourage me so much to go out and smile big and try to make others do so as well. We are blessed each day and we should be thankful and definitely show it!

    God bless you and your beautiful family!

    1. You know whats crazy, Danielle? Several years ago I went with some high school seniors as a chaperone to DC and at the airport that is the first thing we noticed, we were the only ones smiling! I’m happy to say that I’ve visited DC with my family since then and found the folks to be very friendly but obviously, they have to keep to themselves a bit more than we do. I’ve also spent a significant amount of time since then in that dc airport and I usually try to bring a book whenever I’m there so I have something to look into, lol.
      They do have a good hamburger there, though….
      DC is such a beautiful place and so rich in history, we hope to go back there someday as a family again. My heart is with you!
