Answering Your Questions Part 2 (video)

I had such great response to my call for questions two weeks ago that I had to do a second video to get them all answered. Thank you to everyone who emailed the special address I sent out to email subscribers, it was great hearing from you! Stay tuned because I’ll send out another call for questions and a link to that email address again soon! In this video I explain why I don’t make that email address public – to keep it free from spam and make it easier for me to actually see each email sent. I hope you find time to sit down for a little chat today and I hope the information contained in this video proves helpful.

Have a great day!

Subscribe by email by filling out any of the subscribe boxes featured on this page (one is in red below). Email is the absolute best way to make sure you get my updates and recipes. Facebook is the least reliable as it shows my updates to less than 1% of folks there so I am beginning to cater more to my email subscribers since I know they get what I send.

  2. Dear Christy,
I tried responding last week but I think my message got lost. I have written you an e-mail and sent it to you @southernplate.com. I sent you two recipes .I hope you receive it. You just never know about cyberspace.
I enjoy your down to earth environment and how your presentations draws me in and makes me feel as though I am sitting with you at your kitchen table!

  3. Christy, you have brought such a happy smile to my heart. I love when you go off on your little tangents, because it’s like sitting with a friend and how they would talk to you. It’s nice to be reminded that in todays crazy world that we can chose to be a kinder more caring person no matter how others may treat us, and sometimes we just need a reminder to see the bigger picture in life.

Depression is a life long battle and most people don’t really understand all the complicated things that go a long with it. I agree that just getting outside and connecting with nature, or sitting in the sunshine, if we can find it this time of year and soaking in the wonders of the world around us, and just being grateful for what we have can make a huge difference. It takes a lot of energy to put on a happy face and interact with others, most people would never know just how difficult that can be. It is true that it has seasons, or cycles that for no reason just kind of overwhelm us until we can work our way through it. Especially this time of year when we are mostly stuck inside when it is so cold and wet outside, but today it is nice and sunny. Thank you for your sunny disposition and your constant efforts to find the good in each day.

I really like your video blogs, the time just goes by so fast and you are such a fun sweet person to listen to. Especially your southern accent. You have such a delightful way of expressing yourself on video and in your writings it just makes me smile. You are just so down to earth with the same kinds of problems and worries most of us have and are not afraid to share those with us. Hope today is a good day and enjoy that sunshine!

  4. I really enjoy your weekly video’s. It’s so nice to hear your answers and you are so down to earth I feel like you are talking to me. It’s great to hear that your kitchen is like mine and that you don’t have a big fancy kitchen. I’ve learned how to shop from you. Thank you for that. I now have a stocked pantry and I hardly ever pay full price for anything. I never realized how much a stocked pantry helps until recently when I went to my mothers to help her with some health issues and every time I went to make supper I had to go to the store because she didn’t have alot in her pantry. She now has a stocked pantry as well. So keep doing what your doing because we all enjoy it.

  5. Christy, I am so guilty of reading and not commenting. I am sure a lot of others do the same. I mean how long would it take to just say hi and I love this post? Wouldn’t have to be a book, would it? I promise I am going to try to do better.
I have been your biggest fan for a long time now. I found your blog in January 2009 when I did a search for Tea Cakes. Been hanging around here ever since, got both your cook books, and best of all, I was blessed to meet you face to face in Columbia SC in November 2013. I was so thrilled and very impressed by your graciousness to everyone there, taking time to speak to every single one of us personally. That meant so much to me, and the conversation we had will stay with me the rest of my life. God’s got this, remember? 🙂
I am loving your videos. I watched the first half of today’s on my lunch break and could not wait to get home to finish. Thank you for keeping it real. And y’all, people out there in internet land, trust me, if you haven’t met Christy, she is the same in person as what you see here. Just precious.
I love you sweet girl. You have influenced my life more than you will ever know, and I’m old enough to be your Mama. Keep up the good work!

  6. It’s always great to hear your voice, Christy. So, I hope you continue to send us videos! It makes no difference to me what you talk about, I enjoy listening to you!! LOL And don’t worry about how your hair or make-up look, ’cause you always look just fine!!! Can hardly wait to hear what you have up your sleeve, so you can count on me staying tuned in. 😀 Keep on keeping on!
