Answering Your Questions
Last week I asked if anyone had questions they’d like me to answer on Facebook. I got some GREAT questions and really appreciate you taking the time to ask them. I did a series of videos (I think I ended up with seven or eight of them) and I thought I’d bring you a couple every now and then. This is the first installment so when you see me mention searching on the site to find the others, just ignore me 🙂
- Celebrity Chef Question, Most Pinch Yourself Moment, etc
This video is me answering diet questions, what my favorite utensils are, etc.
To view the notecard I mentioned in my answer to the diet question, please click here.
- If you’d like to ask a question you can leave it in the comments section below and I’ll try to get to it in future videos
- This past summer I did a series of live blogging question and answer videos with the facebook family as well. To see all of them in one post, please click here.
- I posted a very inspiring and heartwarming passage from a book I read that I really think will resonate with you. Click here to read it.
Hi Christy, do you have any suggestions for getting my 3 year old granddaughter involved in a recipe? I know your kids cook with you all the time and wonder if there is an easy recipe you would suggest?
Thanks!
Have you researched the dangers of Splenda? Do you check on the health
values of the foods you prepare? Fats and sugars, etc.?
I’ve read a lot on it and studied nutrition in college and I still love my splenda (and cooking from the heart):). Of course that doesn’t mean I can’t respect personal conviction of others. Stick with your heart!
Gratefully
Christy
Your response was gracious; I don’t know that I can be that nice, but I’ll try. I love your blog, have your cookbook, sent 2 cookbooks to family members. I am certain there are many readers like me. We do not need the food police. We are adults who can make sensible choices for ourselves and our families.
Loving these videos, Christy! The question about how you’d spend $100 on yourself was fun. If you like peppermint shampoo and conditioner, you might like peppermint foot cream, too. It’s fantastic! I don’t remember the brand, but I’ve seen it at Walmart, CVS and Walgreens. Target might have it, too. Oh, and I need to get me some of those tongs, too! Can’t live without my tongs. 🙂
I want to leave you with a link to the best grandma/celebrity chef ever! I love watching her videos on YouTube. The grandchild that decided to document this lovely lady should be given a medal.

Sandy…thank you for posting this link! I now love Clara too…isn’t she wonderful!
I’ve been following your blog for a while now but this is my first time to comment. I’m a new mom who “thinks” about cooking a lot and loves cooking blogs and shows but not so much the actual cooking part…lol. Your blog is perfect for these kind of folks. You are just such an inspiration to us new moms out there…..you put your children first no matter what and you are just so down to earth and humble. We moved to Indiana from Alabama this summer and your videos and posts take me back home and to the things I LOVE and miss about southern culture and especially southern cooking. Thanks for being YOU!!
I just love your blogs! I think you are the real deal and look forward to your next postings. Please keep them coming. You bring a smile to my heart and I love telling my family and friends about your site and cookbook.
Your excitement over your spoontula and tongs is cute!
I LOVE your cookbook but especially all the stories that accompany the wonderful recipes. I get so tickled to find the ones my mama always made for our family and I continue to make for mine. It’s like we’re neighbors. Keep on doing what your’re doing cause you’ve got it right!
I enjoy watching your videos so much!! They are like sitting down with a very good friend!!
