A few weeks back I posted about my back to school resolution and how it has become a challenge in the middle of my ever growing schedule to find time to make supper each night. I’ve employed some creative solutions such as cooking up meals ahead of time, freezing, and using my slow cooker more. I’ve even tried ~takes a breath~ planning. I hate that part of it. I’m really a fly-by-the-seat-of-my-pants gal when it comes to supper. I like to just wait and see what I’m in the mood for when it comes time to cook. I also don’t enjoy cooking ahead as that takes the fun out of getting to cook each night for me, but I’m working on developing new habits in order to be able to adjust to a more demanding work schedule and still keep family the top priority – and it’s working.

Today, I’d like for you to tell me how your back to school resolutions are going and we have a special treat for those who leave a comment!

  1. I’ve been working a lot so just getting caught up on my emails! I am a fanatic reader and would love to try the nook! At first, I didn’t want to part with paper books, but as a substitute teacher who travels between buildings and classrooms while carrying everything with me, some of the books I read can become very heavy and can strain my back! Love to read your posts and have your cookbook!

  2. As a 37 year old mother of 3 who has been a stay at home mom for 12 years and just started going back to school, a nook would be a great thing to have to help in sooooo many areas! It would be helpful with school reading, getting my 3 girls more excited about reading, and even great for looking up my favorite recipes in the kitchen!

  3. I find it very difficult to juggle all the plates given me during the school year. Cooking is so much easier now that I have my Southern Plate cookbook!
I’m still trying to find a way to hook my youngest one on reading for pleasure. Something electronic might do the trick!
    🙂
