It’s not often I jump on TikTok trends around here, but I couldn’t resist after trying this famed baked feta and tomato pasta. Here’s why I’m obsessed with this TikTok feta pasta trend and recipe as much as everyone else:
- It uses simple ingredients. All you need is pasta, feta cheese, cherry tomatoes, garlic, fresh basil, and seasoning I bet you already have on hand. That’s it!
- It’s so easy to make. Simply cook the pasta, bake the feta, and you’re ready to serve. I definitely recommend this to people looking for an easy weeknight dinner (it also works for Meatless Monday). The recipe below serves four people.

Recipe Ingredients
- 500g of boiled pasta of your choice
- 200g block of feta cheese
- 400g of cherry tomatoes
- 6 cloves of peeled garlic
- 3 tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil (original olive oil will work just as well too)
- Seasoning: 1 teaspoon chili flakes, 1 teaspoon paprika, and 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 cup of pasta water (the salted water used to boil the pasta)
- 1 cup of fresh basil
In an oven tray, put together the tomatoes, garlic cloves, olive oil, and seasonings. Mix well to coat the tomatoes.
Add the feta cheese block on top. Season extra according to taste (avoid salt as the cheese is already very salty), and drizzle some olive oil.
Bake in the pre-heated oven (220ºC) for around 35 minutes.
(Meanwhile boil the pasta according to the package instructions until al dente, drain, and save a cup of pasta water).
Remove the tray from the oven, and mix all the ingredients to create a tomato sauce.
Add reserved pasta water as needed to achieve a creamy sauce. Add a cup of fresh basil leaves and mix as well.
Slowly add the cooked pasta and mix well to create this delicious TikTok baked feta and tomato pasta.
Season with black pepper if needed and enjoy!

- You can also store leftovers in the freezer for up to two months. When it’s time to reheat, warm up your leftovers in the microwave.
Recipe Notes
- Ensure you use a baking or dish small enough to keep the ingredients snug together, so the pasta soaks up all the flavor.
- I definitely recommend using sweet cherry tomatoes over grape tomatoes. The just add a sweeter flavor to the dish.
- The original recipe uses red chili peppers, but you can get the same effect with crushed red pepper flakes or chili flakes, which is what I used.
- If you only have crumbled feta on hand, pack the same amount of cheese into the center of the baking dish.
- Use any pasta you have on hand: rigatoni, rotini, bow tie, macaroni, and penne pasta are all good options.
- If you’d like to add meat to the dish, stir through cooked chicken breast, ground beef, or ground turkey at the end.
- To make this into a low-carb baked feta pasta dish, serve it with zucchini noodles or spaghetti squash instead.
- I’ve heard you can substitute the feta cheese for the same amount of goat cheese and get similar results.
