Bruschetta with a Texas Twist (Video)
This is a video from Goodbite.com for an interesting twist on Bruschetta. They did such a great job producing it but when I watched it I was immediately taken aback by the contrast of my Alabama accent compared to the hosts lovely, more “proper” accent. I can’t quite place hers but it is truly beautiful, and kept me laughing every time the camera cut back to me talking! I hope you enjoy the video and get to make this soon. Christy,
You should feel so complimented. Aartii, who made this video of YOUR Bruschetta, has just been named Food TV’s Newest Food TV Network Star! I have thought about this ever since I read this post and am so proud that she chose your recipe to use on her post.
Congratulations to you and Aartii!!
ladies and gents,
this very pretty girl is one of the finalists for the next food network star!! the final airs this sunday. let’s hope she wins. she sure is cuter than the other two finalists!! and her recipes have been wowing the judges! let’s hear it for the girls!
She was raised in Dubai which is part of the UAE. She was also a journalist for CNN prior to getting into cooking.
Wow! Isn’t it amazing how some people seem manage to pack so many experiences into their lives at so young an age? I’m always impressed by folks like that.
Don’t know how they do it!
Hello Christy…I was just wondering….how was Katie’s first day of kindergarten?
Oh, I LOVED seeing Aarti!!! She is on “The Next Food Network Star” and is one of my favorites!!!
I also LOVE Texas Caviar – which I make a lot, but use hominy instead of corn and add some Pace Picante Sauce. YUM!!!
Christy, I’m glad you are not in the food industry either. Because us Mom’s need good down home cooking to feed our children and husbands. You keep doing what you are doing!!!!!
Right on Renate!
LOL….well, that Texas Caviar is good no matter *what* accent makes it, ya know?? And yes, Christy, I’ve eaten it with a spoon as well!!
