No Churn Cherry Vanilla Ice Cream
No Churn Cherry Vanilla Ice Cream has the old fashioned flavor we remember from our childhoods without all of the work!
I dearly love cherry vanilla ice cream and this one is right on the money! The best part, though, is that you don’t need an ice cream freezer! Just mix it up, spread it into a pan, and place in your regular freezer in your kitchen. The recipe is below and you’ve got to taste it to believe it!
To make this, you’ll need: Heavy Cream, Sweetened Condensed milk, Vanilla, and a cup of Candied Cherries, chopped*.
- In a large mixing bowl, beat heavy cream with an electric mixer until stiff peaks form.
- Pour in sweetened condensed milk and vanilla and stir by hand until incorporated.
- Spoon half of this into a freezer safe container (I’m just using a Pyrex loaf pan here) and top with half of the chopped candied cherries. Swirl with a knife just a bit. Top with the remaining ice cream mixture and the remaining cherries and swirl once more.
*See recipe card at bottom for substitution option.
Cover this with foil or cling wrap and freeze for 5-6 hours or overnight. When it is time to serve, remove the container from the freezer and let sit on the counter for 5-10 minutes before serving to soften.
Enjoy this incredibly easy and incredibly delicious No Churn Cherry Vanilla Ice Cream.

I love no churn ice cream recipes. They are so easy to make my own. This cherry ice cream would be great with a little chocolate swirled through it.
Oh yum! I’m making this for Father’s Day!
Seeing this post reminded me of summers in here in Alabama when my Pawpaw used to make our family homemade ice cream. It was so good! Such good times. Hes gone now and I miss him, but I’m thankful for the memories!
This is the easiest ‘made at home’ ice cream that I’ve ever seen!
Im guessing I can use other fruits such as peaches, blueberries & strawberries?
This is definitely a keeper.
I’ve never tried to make ice cream but this looks super easy so I’m gonna give it a try this weekend! Thanks
When I was in 1st grade and walking home from school in the heat of the day, my Grandma waited for me to get as far as her house. She’d lean down, smile, look me in the eye, kiss me, and lead me by the hand into her house. Once there we sat at the kitchen table where an ice cube tray of this wonderful Cherry Vanilla Ice Cream sat thawing. Grandma would dish out about a half cup into a saucer for me and I would dig-in. It’s been my favorite flavor ice cream for my entire life. I am now 75 years old and remember like it was yesterday those cherished times when rewards were small and time was short. I’d give anything for one more scoop of that ice cream dished-out by my Grandma. God bless us all.
Great memories to be able to have Judith
This sounds so cool and refreshing, especially in our current 100 degree heat!
