But you know what else is right around the corner? It’s time to start thinking about our Halloween and Harvest costumes! I’ve recently been introduced to a wonderful company called Sensational Beginnings. They are a toy company that offers educational toys, that stimulate the imagination, the mind, and the senses!I don’t know about you, but if I had a dime for every time I spent money on plastic toys that barely outlived the life of the cardboard box they came in, I’d be a wealthy woman today!
I love the toys at Sensational Beginnings and I know you and your child will, too.
As a special offer JUST to Southern Plate readers,
Sensational Beginnings is offering a 10% Discount on all orders over $75.00 through September 20th, at 11:59 PM.
To get this exclusive discount, enter the code SOUTHERNPLATE at checkout. Click here to shop.
I always like to start buying Christmas the moment fall hits and I get it a little at a time to make it more budget friendly, so this is a great opportunity for you to do that.
They also have an EXTENSIVE Costume department. Katy Rose was thrilled when she first laid eyes on this pink super girl costume:
We rounded it out with the Strawberry Shortcake Wig. Of course is Super Girl is Super, it only stands to reason that she’d have pink hair (according to my Katy Rose).
Bradybug will be going the Deluxe Iron Man route this year…
Even though I REALLY tried to talk him into this one – if it was in my size I’d soooooooo be wearing it!
In addition to offering us an exclusive discount code, Sensational Beginnings is also offering an exclusive giveaway!

My favorite toy growing up was definately my vtech computer. It had a robot that taught math and I got to have a “computer” like my mom. I would play it for hours beside her whileshe did school work when she went back to finish her degree. I loved feeling like my mom!
My favorite toy as a child was Tinkertoys!

My favorite toy was Ellie the elephant. I still have her!
My favorite was a doll that was as tall as me and walked. I was around 4 and I’m 63 now so that was many moons ago. My grandparents gave it to me for Christmas. I was the first born so I got all the special stuff. Happy memories!!
I love the shark costume as well Christy and could picture myself wearing It to a Halloween Party If they had adult sizes. Would definitely be a unique Ice breaker! lol
This Is an awesome giveaway! I don’t have any kids, (unless dogs count?), but If I were to win, I would splurge It all on my nephew. I’m sure he would be tickled pink!
Oh! Forgot to mention my favorite toy as a child! That would have to be my Woofit! Gosh, I don’t even remember how old I was, but received It as a Christmas present and would not budge with It at all! I eventually lost him when we were moving one time and never did get another one. 🙁
I grew up in a small town in the Midwest & Christmas was always my favorite time of year. My favorite toy was the Christmas I got my Barbie Townhouse as a little girl. It wasn’t so much the gift, but the story behind it. My brother came into my room at 4am so excited! He told me Santa left a huge present for me and that he snuck out of his bedroom because he heard little bells ringing. He told me he watched the elves put together my Barbie Townhouse and the bell sounds were coming from their green booties! How sweet was he to concoct such a dramatic story for his baby sister?! I will never forget it….I moved from the Midwest over a year ago to Florida and ironically I now live in my own Townhouse 🙂
