I had this stuffed Monkey that I carried everywhere. I also liked baby dolls when i got a little older and then Barbies. But I think that silly Monkey was a favorite for many years. There are many pictures of me with him..everywhere we went.
My three year old loved her Taggie turtle, and my one year old loves her glowworm that plays music. When I was little, I loved My Little Ponies!

My favorite toy was the Barbie doll. My BigMa (maternal grandma) always shopped at garage sales & got me a Barbie & a chest full of Barbie clothes too! I was the favorite cousin with all this stuff. Everyone wanted to come to our house to play!
I’m showing my age (but happy to do it) by saying that one of my favorite toys was a Barbie’s friend Midge doll. I had a Barbie also but for some reason I remember Midge more. I also loved … I mean loved my banana seat bike. That bike was my constant companion for quite some time. My sister’s favorite was her Thumbelina baby doll. It was her favorite for years. I believe she still has it. The last time I saw Thumbelina she was almost bald from being loved. Sis was a keeper of toys while I gave mine away as a declaration that I was growing up (except for the little handmade apron that mammaw made for me). I must mention books. I loved the annual elementary school book fair when mom would take us to select a new book to support the school fundraiser. Fun times with mom. I still remember the first one that I chose. I also remember a little metal sand bucket that my sister and I used for collecting rocks when dad was fishing. Fun times with dad. As I write this, I realize that it was less about the item and more about the time with mom, dad, sis, cousins, and friends.
My favorite ‘toy’ was my strap on roller skates. I wish I still had them!!!
My favorite toy as a child was my PJ Sparkles doll. I absolutely loved her and was so thrilled that Christmas morning when I received her at age 5. I recently found out that they still make PJ Sparkles and purchased one for my niece. She seemed to really like it as well. It is great to find toys that you cherished as a child to be passed down to future generations to enjoy.
My favorite toy as a child was Jacks. You had this little red ball and these little metal things, I just realized I don’t know how to describe a jack..LOL…anyway you threw the ball up in the air and tried to scoop up the jacks before the ball hit again. I loved this game and would play it for hours.
