But you know what else is right around the corner? It’s time to start thinking about our Halloween and Harvest costumes! I’ve recently been introduced to a wonderful company called Sensational Beginnings. They are a toy company that offers educational toys, that stimulate the imagination, the mind, and the senses!I don’t know about you, but if I had a dime for every time I spent money on plastic toys that barely outlived the life of the cardboard box they came in, I’d be a wealthy woman today!
I love the toys at Sensational Beginnings and I know you and your child will, too.
As a special offer JUST to Southern Plate readers,
Sensational Beginnings is offering a 10% Discount on all orders over $75.00 through September 20th, at 11:59 PM.
To get this exclusive discount, enter the code SOUTHERNPLATE at checkout. Click here to shop.
I always like to start buying Christmas the moment fall hits and I get it a little at a time to make it more budget friendly, so this is a great opportunity for you to do that.
They also have an EXTENSIVE Costume department. Katy Rose was thrilled when she first laid eyes on this pink super girl costume:
We rounded it out with the Strawberry Shortcake Wig. Of course is Super Girl is Super, it only stands to reason that she’d have pink hair (according to my Katy Rose).
Bradybug will be going the Deluxe Iron Man route this year…
Even though I REALLY tried to talk him into this one – if it was in my size I’d soooooooo be wearing it!
In addition to offering us an exclusive discount code, Sensational Beginnings is also offering an exclusive giveaway!

Love that shark costume!
My Easy Bake Oven. The maserpieces I was able to create with that wonderful invention! Baked by the glow of a light bulb! I wonder if those “confections” taste as good as I remember them to be? I would LOVE to win! Who doesn’t love toys?
My son when he was little played with a curling iron and an extension cord…..he would put the one end of the extension cord under the couch or just where ever. He didn’t use the curling iron for traditional use! LOL It was funny!
My favorite toy as a child was a plastic doll that came with several different outfits. I actually loved the outfits more than the doll because I discovered that the outfits were just the right size to fit my beloved cat, Rusty. I lived in the country too far away from other little girls my age for play dates, so Rusty became my very best friend. Even though Rusty was male cat, I dressed him up in those outfits all the time. Believe it or not, he would purr the whole time I was dressing and redressing him.
I would so love to win this! My favorite toy was an easy bake oven. I never actually had one, being one of seven kids, but played with a friends.
I a first time grandma; Kailynn is 8 days old and I need all the great toys for her; so I hope I’m one of the lucky winners.
My favorite toy was my dolls any and all baby’s i got my mom would crochet a dress, hat and booties for so every one went out in style.
I see Brady had a growin spurt over the summer he’s as tall as his momma all most. 🙂
My favorite toy was my Betsy Wetsy doll..you gave her a bottle at one end and it came out of another. My grandmother made her diapers and nighties. In fact I still have her, but now she is only for show.
