But you know what else is right around the corner? It’s time to start thinking about our Halloween and Harvest costumes! I’ve recently been introduced to a wonderful company called Sensational Beginnings. They are a toy company that offers educational toys, that stimulate the imagination, the mind, and the senses!I don’t know about you, but if I had a dime for every time I spent money on plastic toys that barely outlived the life of the cardboard box they came in, I’d be a wealthy woman today!
I love the toys at Sensational Beginnings and I know you and your child will, too.
As a special offer JUST to Southern Plate readers,
Sensational Beginnings is offering a 10% Discount on all orders over $75.00 through September 20th, at 11:59 PM.
To get this exclusive discount, enter the code SOUTHERNPLATE at checkout. Click here to shop.
I always like to start buying Christmas the moment fall hits and I get it a little at a time to make it more budget friendly, so this is a great opportunity for you to do that.
They also have an EXTENSIVE Costume department. Katy Rose was thrilled when she first laid eyes on this pink super girl costume:
We rounded it out with the Strawberry Shortcake Wig. Of course is Super Girl is Super, it only stands to reason that she’d have pink hair (according to my Katy Rose).
Bradybug will be going the Deluxe Iron Man route this year…
Even though I REALLY tried to talk him into this one – if it was in my size I’d soooooooo be wearing it!
In addition to offering us an exclusive discount code, Sensational Beginnings is also offering an exclusive giveaway!
TEN Lucky Southern Plate Family Members

I loved my baby Crissy doll. She has red hair that you pull a string which makes it short–pull the ponytail and its long again. I STILL have her today in excellent condition. I dress her for every season and holiday and she goes camping with us. I keep her on a stand in my living room. I make all her clothes. I am 41 years old but I still have my favorite baby doll in the whole world. I have a son but I love my Chrissy doll. I would NEVER part with her. She came from Santa Claus when I was 3 years old!
I liked Cabbage Patch dolls but I loved to play store or restaurant the most!
I loved my dolls and bike. My grands like their dolls and bikes. Many generations in our world have enjoyed the same fun things! Excavauations have unearthed dolls and wheeled toys since there were people and wheels. Thanks for the contest you two!
favorite toy 🙂 acorns and sticks, my neighbor , my sister and i were all about being outside playing house. Making soup (acorns and berries) and tending to our babies ” stuffed animals”. Even as i grow up (twenty one this weekend) i will always remember those days where we didnt worry about how dirrty we got or what boys were thinking 🙂 i wish i could go back
I loved my Easy Bake Oven! We tried to make anything in there, even bologna, we tried to fry it! Our family loved (and still does) fried bologna sandwiches! Please enter me!
I loved a doll I have named Velvet. She wore a purple dress and had blond hair that “grew”. You coul make her hair long or short by pressing a button on her tummy. She had a red-head cousin names Chrissy. My sister had Chrissy and I had Velvet. Loved that doll and spent hours doing her hair in so many different styles. Thanks Southern Plate for the chance to win fabulous giveaways! I also loved my Easy Bake oven.
My third son, just loved Lego Bricks. He and his cousin, would sit for hours building all sorts of things. They would even put their sets together cause they could build bigger things. It was so nice to watch them play so well together.
Now I have 11 Grandkiddos.Six of them are adopted, 5 are siblings from Peru. But none are loved any less. So can I tell you how they all love toys.
And can I tell you how much I love Southern Plate. I am just waiting and waiting for the new cook book to arrive.
