But you know what else is right around the corner? It’s time to start thinking about our Halloween and Harvest costumes! I’ve recently been introduced to a wonderful company called Sensational Beginnings. They are a toy company that offers educational toys, that stimulate the imagination, the mind, and the senses!I don’t know about you, but if I had a dime for every time I spent money on plastic toys that barely outlived the life of the cardboard box they came in, I’d be a wealthy woman today!
I love the toys at Sensational Beginnings and I know you and your child will, too.
As a special offer JUST to Southern Plate readers,

I always like to start buying Christmas the moment fall hits and I get it a little at a time to make it more budget friendly, so this is a great opportunity for you to do that.
They also have an EXTENSIVE Costume department. Katy Rose was thrilled when she first laid eyes on this pink super girl costume:
We rounded it out with the Strawberry Shortcake Wig. Of course is Super Girl is Super, it only stands to reason that she’d have pink hair (according to my Katy Rose).
Bradybug will be going the Deluxe Iron Man route this year…
Even though I REALLY tried to talk him into this one – if it was in my size I’d soooooooo be wearing it!
In addition to offering us an exclusive discount code, Sensational Beginnings is also offering an exclusive giveaway!

Some of my favorite toys as a child were BARBIES!!!!! I had several of my own as well as some that my mother enjoyed as a child. Hers had beautiful ball gowns – some that even had faux fur! Several of my Barbie accessories included the camper, a house, several pets, and some Kelly dolls. My best friend and I played with those things til we were 16!
I have a son that is 25 and one that is 20 and I have a 4 year old son. I love Seasonal Beginnings because it helps me pick out current things my 4 year old will love. Please pick me. Thanks.
i was really into stuffed animals of all kinds. my 2yr old seems to take after me. she has an extensive collection (including some of my old toys) and chooses one or two to sleep with every night!
I loved my cabbage patch kids…in fact I had cabbage patch sheets that my 7 year old had on her bed until about a year ago when she informed me that she wasnt really in to cabbage patch kids 🙁 lol.
Love the Seasonal Beginnings Web site….pick me!
As a young child, my favorite toys were Weebles! Weebles wobble, but they don’t fall down!
When I was 10, all I dreamed of getting for Christmas was a pair of white shoe skates…but my dad had been out of work for a few months and money was very tight so I knew there wasn’t much chance of getting them. On Christmas morning, I awoke to find the most beautiful pair of skates I had ever seen. They had been purchased used, but my dad had oiled and tightened…and mom had polished and buffed them, and added some bright new shoe laces and homemade pom poms that were so popular then. I have never received a gift that meant so much to me.
Easy-Bake Oven – My grandmother worked @ Ben Jaffe Dept store in downtown Athens. I remember making birthday cakes for the people who worked with her. Most of them are gone now as well as she. But there are 1 or 2 that I still see occasionally around town.
