OVER 60 RECIPE LINKS BELOW!

I love big family get-togethers and two of my very favorite are coming up: Thanksgiving and Christmas Dinner! We tend to have a few celebrations, with larger family gatherings as well as smaller special meals (just the four of us) to celebrate the occasion. Often, with the larger family gatherings, the meal consists of a huge assortment of everyone’s favorites – and Mama and I pride ourselves in making enough for everyone to carry home at least one plate (or two!) per person to enjoy later.

But meals like this can be very stressful for the cook unless you plan ahead of time to make them easier and as pre-prepped as possible. With that in mind, I’ve written a post with the tips and tricks I use to make my Thanksgiving just as enjoyable as it is for the folks who aren’t cooking the meal 🙂 To read that post, please click here.

Below, you’ll find a pretty long list of some recipes we have had in the past or plan on having this year at our holiday dinners. Click on each recipe title to be taken to that post.

I hope these inspire you and make your Thanksgiving even more delicious!

  1. Very nice collection Christy! Haven’t been by in awhile – seems that you’ve redecorated – love the look! I saw you were invited to attend Sister Schubert’s – I also got an invitation from Miss Sarah, but unfortunately, the timing just didn’t fit into my schedule & family obligations. Yet another missed opportunity to meet you face to face & I am really looking forward to that day! Anyway, just wanted to swing by and say hello and wish you and your family (and the family here too!) a Happy Thanksgiving!!

  2. Thank you so much for sharing your love of family and recipes with us! I wish you and your family a Happy Thanksgiving!!!

  3. Love ALL your recipes and your Blog– I am going to my daughters for Thanksgiving (3 families!) and everyone always brings a dish. I usually make corn souflee’ but thought I want to make something different & easy due to my terrible health, and then I just got your email with SO MANY DELICIOUS RECIPES – & I saved this entire email with all the wonderful choices of recipes and could not choose just one! They ALL look delicious and now I am starving!!! Thanks so much for your wonderful recipes!! Happy Thanksgiving!! And, of course I will be preparing a bunch of stuff for Christmas since you gave us all a great selection!!!! Linda in VA

  4. Christy, this is the first time I am cooking a turkey. We have a roaster that my wife used, but she passed away on our 48th wedding anniversary. I have been reading so much on the internet, I am getting lost. I bought a lemon, orange, celery, carrots, garlic and apples to put into the cavity. I will be cooking at 350 (like the wife did) and then put the turkey into the oven to brown (don’t know what temperature, but think at 450). Am I on the right track? Thanks for your recipes, I read them all.

  5. Hello,
I really enjoy your recipes. I need help. It is hard for me to stand for long periods and want to know if I make my sausage cornbread dressing and put in pan and my sweet potato casserole in casserole dish, would it be safe to put in the refrigerator the day before and cook in oven the next day. Both recipes have raw eggs in them.

    Appreciate your help.
    Jo

  6. I’m going to try the slow cooker turkey breast and dressing for dinner this year. I wonder would boneless turkey breast work as well? I fixed the coca cola pork chops from uour cookbook for dinner tonight. Wow! So tasty and simple. My son who is very particular even liked them. Yum yum!
