Christy, I found you recently when I was looking for a recipe for a fruit cocktail cake. Funny how I’ve become too lazy to open a cookbook when I have the whole world at my fingertips. Anyway, I wanted to let you know I enjoy your recipes but I was REALLY tickled to find the Story Time link. I have two granddaughters, 4 1/2 years and 13 months, who love books. I can set the laptop on the kitchen table and let Miss Christy read to them while I make breakfast. Natalie, the baby, waves to you at the end of the story when you say ‘bye.
Have you read any of the books by Jamie Lee Curtis? I think you would enjoy them. There’s always a good message delivered with just enough silliness and grossness for Marleigh, the oldest, to ask for them over and over.
I’m glad I found your website; I feel like I’m visiting an old friend.
My daughter loved this story, she said her librarian read it to her also. At the school book fair last week we picked up a copy of “Pete the Cat, Rocking in my School Shoes”. It is really funny and we think you would like it.
Christie – I not only loved your “Interruption Chicken” Story, I love the way you
tell it, and with your accent, it’s even better. You make it believable and
that’s a talent. I’m a gramma and don’t do bedtime stories well. My
grandaughter would never let you leave. Love you, bye-bye…..
The kids loved!!! They always love your readings. We love “My Lucky Day”. It’s hilarious and we read it pretty much every night. Check it out next time your at the library.
