Kindergarten Field Trip
Just thought I’d share a few photos from Katy Rose’s kindergarten field trip to a farm today. The odd thing for us was that this farm was just a few minutes from my Papa Reed’s farm! I had hoped to get to leave and go spend some time there after it was done but the school we’re at now doesn’t allow you to sign kids out after the field trip is over so Katy had to ride the bus back to school.
The good thing is, I was in my car with a few other moms and since the bus is slow, we got to get ahead of them enough to hit the Starbucks drive through on the way home! That lady was SO GOOD with reciting our order, I asked her to do it again for video ~giggle~ See below to watch it!
Katy Rose on the nature walk
The woods are so beautiful in Alabama this time of year.
She really loved petting the horses. I thought she’d be scared of them but she was a natural
This horse is licking my coat
Now he is trying to eat my coat.
I just realized I had raisins in my pockets. Maybe he is a raisin loving horse? He kept licking me and licking me
Okay, thanks for all the lovin’ horse, we gotta be going now before you start eating my hair…
Ooh my legs look skinny in this picture!!!
Caleb and his mom
Olivia and her mom
Katy Rose and her mom…oh wait, that would be me 🙂
Katy Rose said the cutest thing to one of her friends as we were walking around on the farm. “You don’t have to call my Mama Mrs Jordan, you can just call her Ma. That’s what I call her and even my brother calls her that too!”
hehehe
I’m not putting a lot of the photos from the field trip because I don’t want to put photos of other people’s kids up here without permission. We watched a horse getting new shoes, visited the sheep and cows, went on a nature walk, saw some animal prints in the mud, had a little time fishing, and watched a horse demonstration. Then we had a picnic and by that time we were all flat worn out! 🙂 It was a great day though and I’m really grateful I had the opportunity to go and share that with Katy Rose.
Okay now here is the video from Starbucks. Warning, I laugh REALLY LOUD at the end!
I warned you I laughed loud at the end!
Thanks for going on the field trip with us! Have a great Friday!
I always loved school field trips. Saw pictures from Danville Elem Pioneer Day. They were showing them how to quilt, shoeing a horse, etc. Today must have been field trip day.
my granddaughter who is in Kind. and turning 6 in Jan is also named Katie Rose.(her first name is Kathryn but only her grandma calls her that) she said grandma you can’t call me Katie. Her parents try to make nicknames but their kids usually prefer their longer given names. She is a little blonde blue eyed dynamo also.
Oh, such memories you will both have of this day! Love the ones with the horses–*snicker*-he’s eating your coat.
I’m doing a test run of your Jordan rolls right now. They’re on their second rise. Mmm!
Katy Rose is too cute – aren’t field trips here in Alabama great? You cracked me up with the horse – he must have had a major sweet tooth! My mom used to have a horse that would walk up to the kitchen door and stare in. When you held up a cookie or peppermint and ask, “Is this what you want?”, he would nod his head up and down! That’s one of my favorite memories as a child!
Yes, you did laugh loudly but that was quite an order.
Glad that the kids loved the trip. Looks like a fun one.
LOL!!! Looks like TONS of fun!! I LOVE the picture of you and Katy Rose on the fence! Thanks for sharing and the video at the end!!! 🙂 Happy Thanksgiving my friend!!!
You do laugh loud at the end of the video but I LOVE THAT LAUGH!!!!
Thank you Ann! I am afraid that even with the warnings, I might still lose readers when they hear how loud it is!
