  1. Dear Christie,
Thank you so much for sharing your story and journey with everyone. Love your kind but direct approach and pray that it will be beneficial to all who read it. In my past, I was all too familiar with the “pit” of despair. I’m grateful every day that God was always been there to redirect my thinking and offer a hand to help me climb out. Thank you for your wisdom and sharing these practical steps to healing. I hope you don’t mind, I created a Word document of your posts to save and share if the opportunity arises. I’d be glad to share it with you for your use/approval.
    Blessings, Chris

  2. I love this series! Thank you! my grandma often counseled me with what you said: about behaving with class and grace, kindness towards others especially with my words and of course ” if you cant say anything nice- say nothing”
i have been working too- towards being a happy person- I needed to be reminded of your video points. so i thank you for making them and having your video blogs for us to enjoy.

  3. Another great video!! As Christians, when we realize we are representing Christ, that is a game changer for behavior. Of course none of us are perfect, but the reminder that we are His helps reel us back in. You rock Christy!!!

  4. I’m one of those work in process people as well. Not always successful but I have such a big, burning desire to get “sin out of my heart,” as Joni Eareckson says. When you hear your own negative words coming from your child’s lips, well, let’s just say that a slap in the face would be kinder. I don’t want to fail my son! Words are so powerful.

  5. Some of my favorite scripture is regarding the tongue. We all struggle with it. The book of James is one I continue to go back to.

“Likewise the tongue is a small part of the body, but it makes great boasts. Consider what a great forest is set on fire by a small spark. The tongue also is a fire, a world of evil among the parts of the body. It corrupts the whole person, sets the whole course of his life on fire, and is itself set on fire by hell.” James 3:5-6

“Can both fresh water and salt water flow from the same spring?” James 3:11

  6. A hug around the throat with your hands haha. I admit I’ve felt like that before. I don’t want to gossip but sometimes I catch myself doing it and have to shut my mouth quick! It’s a working process.

    1. The sign of a wise person is someone who considers themselves a work in process. Fools think they’re just fine the way they are – and they miss out on so many opportunities to gain wisdom as a result! 🙂
