Barbara’s Lime Cupcakes
Barbara’s Lime Cupcakes are the most amazing cupcakes. The recipe comes from a family friend, Barbara Ingram, who owns a wedding chapel, florist, and catering company in the town of Rogersville, Alabama and this is one of her most requested desserts. In fact, the cupcake pictured above was made by Barbara herself! She sent a batch to my mother and Mama sent a few my way and they were just too pretty not to photograph (that is why you don’t see the step by step photographs). When I called to see if Barbara would mind sharing the recipe with me (and y’all) she immediately said “Of course!”.

Cornbread…do you prefer a sweet version or the corn tasting one? We love corn muffins or cornbread when we have chili. always seem to find the sweet version in mixes.
I like them both but I wasn’t raised eating sweet cornbread so it always takes me a bite or two to wrap my head around it. My husband only likes sweet, God love him 😉
Love your new website. Hope to see you at the Cornbread Festival this weekend. I’m bringing my book for you to sign – hope that’s ok.
Please do! I’ll be in the judges tent to the right of the competition stage during the cornbread cookoffs. Come there and ask anyone in a Martha White shirt to snag me and I’ll come right out to visit with you!
Can’t wait to try these. I was pleasantly surprised to see that these look so easy to make!
Mmmmm!!!! Thank you!
