  1. Air Fryers seem to be all the rage right now. Are you planning on getting one and writing a cookbook for them? Or make suggestions on how to adapt your recipes to them?

Just curious as I have one and am enjoying it.

    1. Hey Kathleen! I don’t have any plans right now to get one. I have gotten pretty good at “frying” things in my oven and have several recipes that are baked that way but have a fried type taste once done. I appreciate your vote of confidence on the cookbook, though!
I’d sure play around with one if a company sent it to me but I don’t really have anyone on my radar right now that makes them. The BEST appliances are the ones you enjoy using so it sounds like you have a winner!

  2. Dear Christie,
Ever since finding your cookbook Southern Plate, I have been cooking my way through it and reading every page. So many memories, it’s like we grew up in the same town. I grew up in East Texas, but all the recipes and all the family memories sound similar.
I just wanted to say thank you for sharing. It has meant so much to me as my momma and daddy are 5 years in Heaven and when I pick up your cookbook or read your blog, I feel close to them. Food and family! I’m teaching my half Yankee girls to appreciate simple, wholesome Southern cooking and my Yankee husband insists on Watergate Salad and Pimento Cheese as refrigerator staples.
If you ever find yourself in the Pittsburgh, PA area, you have a friend to show you around!
    Fondly,
    Kate Zingarelli
