Muddy Diet Dr Pepper
It would be awesome beyond belief if you could pin this Muddy Diet Dr Pepper to your pinterest boards!
Public Declaration time: I’ve become an addict. Alright, I Can live without it but I don’t want to!
It all started when I made friends with these two sweet ladies who share my love of fun non-alcoholic drinks. We ended up in the middle of a cherry orchard in Michigan at a lovely dinner where they were serving all manner of rotted grape juices and as I came up with a concoction of lemonade and cherry juice for us we got to talking about other lovely mixed drinks and Sara and Kate asked me “Have you tried the dirty diet coke?”
My interest was piqued. Dirty Diet Coke? I knew they didn’t drink either so it had to be something good. As soon as I got home I looked it up on their site and set out to make my own version- using Diet Dr Pepper! (Y’all saw that coming, right?)
But then I got to the part where Sara added in half and half and I thought “This just sounds odd. I don’t know if that would be good.”
Two seconds later I vowed to trust anything Sara or Kate say for the rest of my life.
While they splash their half and half in, I’ve found that I like everything better if I give it a little stir and muddy the whole thing up.

It’s like a personal, warm hug directly from Heaven to Diet Dr Pepper lovers everywhere!
Let’s make us one!
You’ll need: Coconut Syrup (I’m using sugar free), Diet Dr Pepper, and Half and Half.
The Half and half makes this, in my opinion. It sounded really weird to me at first (okay so this whole thing sounded weird to me at first) but Sara was right, half and half takes it up a notch.
I found the coconut syrup on Amazon (click here) but I’m sure it is for sale somewhere in some store.
If you know where this is please tell me in the comments below because I’d kinda like to know.
Fill your glass with ice.
Add about 3 tablespoons of coconut syrup.
Add about half of your Diet Dr Pepper.
Stir just slightly.
Fill the glass up almost to the top with Diet Dr Pepper, save about 1 inch of head space.
Add a splash of half and half.
Stir lightly to muddy it all up.
ENJOY!
And I do mean ENJOY!
This tastes unlike anything I’ve ever known and I dearly love it!

Oh my gosh! Remember Laverne & Shirley? Because of the 1/2 & 1/2, I immediately thought of Laverne drinking her milk & Pepsi! Lol! Can’t wait to give this drink recipe a try! :o)
I hope you enjoy it Tracy!!
Just tried the Muddy Diet Dr. Pepper and I love it!! Stopping by to let you know that I purchase my Torani Syrups online at http://www.lollicupstore.com – the cost is only $4.65 per 750 ml bottle. Some of the more exotic flavors may be around $5.35 per 750 ml bottle. So even with shipping charges (I live in Indiana) I am able to purchase two bottles for the same price as one on Amazon and some other websites. Check lollicupstore out.
Does Alabama have GFS (Gordon’s Food Service) You can get flavored coffee syrups there 🙂
Sam’s Club sells large bottles of coconut syrup with the other coffee syrups in the coffee aisle there.
I’d love to try this!
I just made this is dr pepper 10, cinnamon syrup, and heavy cream! Oh my! I’m hooked!
Another good drink is Cinnamon Tea. Put 1/2c. ground cinnamon in Mr. Coffee, fill with water to 12 c. mark. Pour in a brew just like coffee. When done, strain tea through another coffee filter. Pour a cup add honey to taste, add ice if you want and enjoy.
Looks refreshing – perfect for hot days. I hate the taste of diet soda, but I’m going to try this out of curiosity. Or maybe use regular Dr. Pepper. Thanks for this recipe.
