I am always needing a qick fix dinner around here. I keep Bisquick and veggies, and a meat (beef, Chicken and turkey) on hand. The quickest meal I can make and put together in no time are the impossible pies. Cooked beef, boiled or leftover chicken/turkey are ideal. Grease a pie plate and add meat, add canned or frozen veggies of choice, 1 can of choice cram chicken, mushroom, or celery soup and mix in casserole. Mix 1 cup Bisquick with 1/2 c. milk and an egg. Pour over meat mixture. Bake at 400 for 30 min.
Note: I usually make sure I have leftover meat to make a short cut and put in fridge and make this a day to two after. Also, you can add whatever seasonings you desire to give it more flavor. i am the worst at adding a little of this and a little of that.
Another quick meal that I do and we all love (Not daughte) is to thaw salmon or buy fresh that day. Sprinkle generously on both sides with Montreal steak seasoning..yo read right. 🙂 You may grill on BBQ, on stove, or bake in oven. i serve thios with a salad, and baked potato or rice. Sometimes I roast potatoes.
Enjoy and thanks forall your wonderful recipes which have given me the opportunity to change our menus regularly and try not to have the same recipe .
My go to ingredients – ground beef or chicken breast, onion, crushed tomatoes and pasta. You can add whatever vegetable you have. You can spice it up, or cheese it up, or change the the dish in a dozen ways. Add a crust, made from crescent rolls, bisquick, or crushed up corn flakes, tortilla chips. Experiment and Try New Things – Life Is An Adventure – Dinner Should Be Also!!!
As long as I have pasta and hamburg, I can fix a quick meal!!
Really excited about the new series and new book. I’ve enjoyed Christy’s website and just this morning answered a poll about my MOST USED AND REFERRED TO COOKBOOK the answer was THE SOUTHERN LIVING COOKBOOK! my book is well worn from years of use and has many bookmarks for the most used recipes!
