Quick fixes??? My cup of tea!!
I like that idea of rotating the ingredients so that your family does not get tired of something. I will definitely remember that.
I always keep a spot in my pantry for all the ingredients for atleast three different quick meals that way it’s quick and you have a choice. I usually try to rotate them out to different meals so we don’t get tired of them. Would love to give the cookbook to my newly engaged daughter so she would have one of her very own.
Congratulations Christy. So excited for you.
I love Southern Plate! Christy, I can’t wait for your online series to come out. You are a master of the quick fix meals, and they obviously know it. I like taco soup as a quick fix, although I do put it in the slow cooker to simmer all day. I think it qualifies as quick because it takes about 5 min. to put it all together.
My go-to ingredient is poached chicken. Save the broth and pair the chicken with a vegetable for my lunch box or throw it in pasta, rice or a soup for dinner! I can always fall back on chicken salad.
My two favorite things: Southern Living and Christy Jordan! My go-to ingredient: flour tortillas and cheese. A Mexican grilled cheese!
