  1. Yay! We love Pete the Cat, too! Great job, and thank you for posting this! My daughter loved hearing you tell that story.

You may not know this, but the artist who created Pete the Cat, James Dean, is the real heartbeat behind Pete. We met him a couple of years ago at The House of Blues Art Show in Myrtle Beach, and he is a wonderful guy. We talked with him for a long while, and he even gave our family a free autographed copy of his first Pete the Cat book. His wife He has a website at http://www.petethecat.com/ and you can read all about him and Pete the Cat on this page: http://www.petethecat.com/about/ and this page: http://www.petethecat.com/about/about-pete.html

By the way, Christy, the way you sang that song put me in mind of the 80’s song “I Know What Boys Like” by the Waitresses! 😛
