Today, I wanted to share with you a recipe sure to be a favorite in Southern Hearts (if it isn’t already)… pimento cheese biscuits. If you’re anything like us, come spring and summer you’re ready for light flavors, pastel colors, and all of the other wonderful fresh flavors of the season. Today’s recipe would make a perfect addition to your holiday brunch, with a delicious old Southern twist!
Now, anyone who has been with me a while knows that I’m a HUGE fan of pimento cheese. There are several recipes involving this cheese on Southern Plate as it just makes my taste buds happy. My preferred brand is Price’s, as it’s made with real mayonnaise and real cheese. You can even see big chunks of cheese in it. It looks just like my homemade pimento cheese and tastes like my Grandmama made it.
So now we are going to gild the lily by making biscuits with Southern-style pimento cheese baked right into the dough for a distinctly Southern flavor that pairs perfectly with Easter ham. You only need 4 ingredients to make pimento cheese biscuits: baking mix, milk, pimento cheese, and garlic powder. That’s it! These Southern biscuits are so fluffy, tender, flavorful, and easy to make. Ready to give this pimento cheese biscuit recipe a go?
Recipe Ingredients
- Baking mix (I am using my homemade baking mix, but you can just use Bisquick if you like).
- Milk
- Garlic powder
- Price’s Southern Style Pimento Cheese
How to Make Pimento Cheese Biscuits
Place all ingredients into a medium bowl.
Using a spoon, stir together really well until fully blended.
Dump the biscuit dough out onto a floured surface and sprinkle with more flour.
Knead this a few times by pressing into a ball and then flattening slightly and repeating.
Pat the dough out to about 1/2-inch thickness with your hands and then cut with a biscuit cutter.
See those little pimentos peeking out of the dough? This biscuit dough makes my heart smile.
Grease a baking dish with and place the biscuits inside, with the sides touching. Bake at 400 for 12 to 15 minutes or until golden brown. Allow them to cool a bit before removing them from the pan.

Storage
- Store leftover biscuits in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 days or in the fridge for up to 1 week. You can reheat them in the microwave or air fryer.
- You can also freeze baked drop biscuits for up to 3 months. Thaw in the fridge before reheating as above.
Recipe Notes
- You can find Price’s Southern Style Pimento Cheese at Publix right now and more grocery stores soon! It’s the only pimento cheese I’ve found in stores that tastes like homemade because it is made like homemade.
- However, check out this recipe if you want to make homemade pimento cheese to add to this biscuit recipe. You’ll need sharp cheddar cheese, mayonnaise, salt, and diced pimentos.
- For the best biscuits, use a straight up and down movement when cutting the dough with a biscuit cutter. No twists and turns are required!
- To add a little heat, add 1 teaspoon of cayenne pepper or smoked paprika. You can also add a couple of teaspoons of hot sauce.

I love pimento cheese biscuits! Unfortunately my grocery store does not carry this brand of pimento cheese (I have heard it is delicious!!) so I either use another brand or homemade. When I make biscuits I make half plain and half with pimento cheese. The half with pimento cheese is always my favorite.
Is it 2 cup mix in the recipe then ½ cup for surface and cut out or all 2 ½ cups mix in the biscuits?
Hi Ashton, I put 2.5 cups of the mix in the biscuits.
Thanks for asking and hope you enjoy 🙂
