So a little history about Pineapple…
The pineapple itself it not just one fruit. Oh no siree bob, it’s actually a fruit consisting of many berries that have grown together. Well butter my butt and call me a biscuit! I never knew that!
It is not related to the apple in any way but our friend Webster tells us that back in medieval times was it was named pineapple because some botanists way back when referred to any unfamiliar fruit on a tree that was thought to resemble the firm, roundish apple in some way by the name apple. Not the most creative people, I guess LOL. If you want to know more about pineapples you can check out Webster here.
For me though I am just going to get to making and then eating some of the luscious pineapple recipes above.
