Southern Plate Celebrates 100 Recipes With Link Love!

100 Recipes!!!
Its hard to believe that my next recipe post will be the 100th recipe post on Southern Plate! This calls for a celebration! Since the beginning, you’ve all be so encouraging and wonderful to me, I truly don’t know how I got so lucky to have such amazingly generous and kind people reading and hanging out on my virtual front porch, but I am so very grateful for each and every one of you.
But we’ve been sitting here on this front porch for a while now and I’ve just been a talkin’ away and haven’t let you get a word in edgewise! So why don’t you step up and introduce yourselves to everyone on this post.
I invite you to list the url to your blog or website along with a description of what its about and/or who you are!
I won’t be responding to these comments (this is your show!) but I will check and follow every link and if you have Southern Plate listed among your links, I’ll be sure to add you to my permanent links as well (which will someday be organized by category and include short descriptions…someday! I am going to update it and add a big, pretty button on my sidebar this weekend.).

After a few days, I’m going to make a button on my sidebar with a shortcut to my “Link Love” post. So go ahead and introduce yourself to the wonderful folks here, and let us get to know you better!

*Your blog or website does not have to be food related! All readers of Southern Plate are invited, welcomed, and requested to participate because YOU Are so very important here!!
All I ask is that you list family friendly websites only, please.

So speak up! Tell us about your blog here!

  3. Hello there Christy,
My name is Anita and I am from Chattanooga, TN. I found your site quite by mistake when I lost my mom’s recipe to “Hoe Cake.” I knew it was very simple but was not sure if I had forgot anything so I googled it and here I am! After seeing so many of your recipes I am sure we are “kinfolk” and just don’t know it yet! So many of your recipes I grew on. I love your site and am really glad I stumbled onto it!

  4. I’m mom to 5 and grandma to 1. I recently started a blog One Old Goat and her little farm – to document my adventures as a new farmer. Starting from scratch and building pens frugally through bargaining and craigslist, I’m slowly becoming more knowledgable as we go along.

  5. Chrisy, Congrats on your 100th recipe post. I’ve neglected my blog and you inspire me to get busy. I look forward to the Southern Plate emails and I’ve noted several recipes I want to try over the holidays and look forward to your new recipes to come.

  6. I am a grandma of 8 + 3 grandchildren, who has learned how to blog this past year. I blog about whatever is on my heart, usually something to do with the current news, or the grandkids, or whatever.

I surely enjoy reading different blogs about different things. The cooking ones are fun, and make me want to cook again, but with a husband who is gone from 6:30am to 8:30pm, I usually eat at the ‘neighbors’ (my twin sister lives across the street.)

One of these days I will post my famous chicken enchilada recipe which gets eaten up at our church pot lucks!

Thanks Christie for your yummy recipes. I am going to make the pecan pie for Thanksgiving when the whole crew is home.

  7. Congratulations on your 100th recipe post! Very nice! I love this little dip into “southern-ness” out in blogland!

I started my blog to chronicle my knitting but arthritis has side-lined picking up sticks and yarn right now. I was going to let my blog hibernate but my daughter urged me to just journal about the things I enjoy. So my little blog is a collection of random thoughts and hopefully a bit of fun!
