Sunday Dinner 11/6/10
I just LOVE having company for Sunday dinner and am thrilled to have not one but two guests coming today! I got up a little after five to get everything cooking so I could just come home and heat and serve.
Here is my menu for today. I just kinda went with whatever I was in the mood to make!
- Slow Cooker Chicken and Rice
- Sweet and Sour Green Beans (Cookbook page 41)
- Corn Casserole (Cookbook page 23)
- Mama’s Homemade Macaroni and Cheese (Cookbook page 200)
- Frozen Cranberry Banana Salads (Cookbook page 189)
- Grandma Lucy’s Chocolate Pie (Cookbook only, page 147)
- Fruit Cocktail Cake (Cookbook page 39)

Thank you for sharing this photo with me, Karen! This is what its all about!
Christy, your “munchkins” are so precious! No wonder you missed them so when you were on tour. Incidentally, how are the ratings????????
I so wish that I could meet you! My husband will be flying to Huntsville soon for more Army training…I SOOO wish I could go, just so I could try to run into you! We have Sunday dinners quite often and your Momma’s Mac and Cheese is ALWAYS on the menu. I swear my husband makes me cook it at least once a week! Maybe I can get him to stop and pick up your book for me for a late Christmas present!
I couldn’t access the chocolate pie recipe. Thanks! Dinner sounded wonderful.
Verlan, she noted that the chocolate pie recipe was only in the cookbook.
Wish I was coming to dinner! Someday… someday..
So glad you get a day to spend with your family. Enjoy it and have a great day.
My favorite is Rice Pudding, Yummy!
Fruit cocktail cake is my favorite. My grandmother would make it for me every Christmas because I despised the regular fruitcake. yuck! 😀
