Tacky was an odd little bird, but he was just who they needed!

You might want to turn this down when Tacky speaks 🙂

  3. I liked the story, however I have a question. Why are doing Storytime? I am a little confused.

BTW…I love Click, Clack, Moo — Cows that Type. Great story!

    1. Hey Lisa! I’m afraid I don’t understand your question, maybe it’s missing a word? Be sure and check out Pete the cat! It’s one of my favorites 🙂

      1. Hi Christy,

Sorry, I was typing too fast!

Why are you reading children’s books on your website? Do you have a partnership with a reading foundation? Or is it via your publishing company? I like the idea of reading to children, but don’t see the connection. Thanks!

        1. Nope, no partnership and no relationship with a publisher or anything. I just like to read books to kids and I pay the light bill 🙂 ~giggle~
When I started Southern Plate I just decided it would be all about what’s on my “plate” and as a mom, that pretty much entails everything, lol.
          Gratefully,
          Christy
P.S. The kids like it too! 🙂

  4. My daughter Sydney (age 8) enjoyed listening to you read! 🙂 She would like you to read One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish. She was happy when she learned that because you read her a book, she can put that on her list of books that she read or had read to her. 🙂 Her school gives a plastic charm for each 8 books that she reads. Thank you!

    1. Hey Sydney!
I’m going to ask my nephews if they have that book so I can read it to you!
How cool that you get to add it to your list! I hope you get lots and lots of charms!
Be sure and click on some of the other books above because I’d love to read more to you!
      Gratefully,
      Christy
