Thanksgiving Menu Bonanza
I’m so excited for the holidays to be here, a time where we all gather together and give thanks for all of the blessings in our lives.
I hope you have a wonderful holiday season planned, too!
I’ve compiled a list of recipe ideas to help you plan your Thanksgiving meal below. Of course we don’t have all of this in one sitting but I wanted to give you plenty to choose from! Click on each recipe to view the complete tutorial of how to make it. Recipes which are in the Southern Plate Classic Comfort Food That Makes Everyone Feel Like Family cookbook are noted in the side along with page number. Recipes which are exclusive to the cookbook (not on SouthernPlate.com) are also noted beside the recipe.

I have read your book cover to cover and enjoyed every minute of it…..you are so personable and down to earth. Your honesty is refreshing and completes yourself with sincerity. I look forward to all my family enjoying the holidays and fellowship. One of my favorite dishes for Thanksgiving is Pineapple Casserole! Yummy either as a main dish or a dessert with ice cream!

i really enjoyed today’s recipes we were to have thanksgiving here at our home but my wonderful husband ed was diagnosed with cancer so we are going over the hills and through the valleys to have the holiday with all of our blended family the kids want to take care of us by cooking dinner they are afraid with radiation starting in two weeks that we might not be up to a big christmas and they want to show their love isn’t that just the sweetest thing but the daughter-in-laws want me to e-mail miss christy’s recipes love to everyone joy and ed ross
The Preston roll recipe is great. IMO, worth the price of the book. I’m making those for our Thanksgiving meal.
Your mother’s house sounds like my in-laws’ house! There’s always so much food, the table will barely hold it! The problem with the holiday is that my parents live in the area, too, and my mother will not go to my in-laws’ even though they have been invited. I think my mother wants to be the one in charge, not a guest! Of course, my husband wants to eat at his family’s house since there’s more food, and, well, it’s his family! It always makes for a long, awkward Thanksgiving and Christmas every year! Whoever we visit second in the day gets offended no matter what!
Had this problem for a while…now he goes to his and I to mine…everyone is happy and we don’t mind it a bit…
