What’s In My Bag? Plus, A Bag Review

How about some randomness from a Friday evening?
Today, I filmed a “What’s In My Bag” video along with a review of the bag I’m carrying now. So, the world can finally rest easy knowing what I keep in my purse.
Question for after you watch:
How many flashlights did you count? 🙂

In this video I review my Duluth Trading Company bag and show you what I typically carry in it.

  • Gerber Curve Knife
  • You can see this bag at DuluthTrading.com. I love the quality of their merchandise but compared to most online storefronts, I should note that their shipping is fairly slow.
  • The traveler’s notebooks I show in this were purchased from Shep’s Leatherworks. They are amazing heirloom quality and ship faster than you can blink. I personally own three of them, my son owns one, and my husband owns one.

  1. I just ordered my bag (in blue) 2 days ago, and if all goes according to plan, I should have it by Saturday. I loved your video and how you showed the things you carry. I’m sure this will quickly become a favorite. Thank you so much for all you do, you’ve been teaching this grandma some awesome new tricks. God bless.

  2. Nice purse and I like the way you explain how well everything fits in and the great amenities in the bag. Unlike others, I actually like a-typical videos or posts on what is typically a cooking blog once in a while, and thanks for your fine example of graciousness…

  3. Hi Christy I’ve been a fan of yours for a long time and wanted to send you a comment to compliment you on what a fun video this was to watch. It is great to get to know another side of you besides your wonderful cooking! I am also a pack rat when it comes to carrying things and my kids often call my bag the “runaway” bag knowing I have so many things with me that are useful. Thank you for sharing your personal items and for letting us get to know you better. I’m wondering if you could let me know where you purchased the bright blue bag you keep inside that you mentioned you purchased on sale. I would love to get one as well. Kind regards, Amy

  4. My 15 yr old granddaughter did a what’s in my bag on her YouTube channel. I would expect more from an adult. But as long as people liked the video that’s what is important.

    1. I feel the exact same way about this comment. I see things like this from teenagers but…
We can focus on things we want to complain about or focus on the wealth of blessings. The fact that you took the time to type in your name, email, and this comment tells me your choice for the day, but you can make another one at any time – and you are worthy of more.:)

  5. I love my purple Duluth handbag. Lots of pockets and it has handles and crossbody strap. I also carry pocket knives and a flashlight.

  6. I ordered my sling bag after I saw this video. It is always very hard for me to find a bag that I like. My daughter says I don’t like anything (she’s almost right). This one looks like I will like it. Thank you!

  7. That is a very functionally designed bag. I like that, especially the built in wallet and the magnetic closure.
